To be approved by the NTIA as coupon eligible, the boxes must have a minimum set of features listed below.  
  • Support 4:3 Center Cut and 16:9 Letterbox, and a Full Frame or Zoomed Output

  • Display Program and System Information (PSIP), tuned Channel and Program Information
    		•
  • Receive Channels 2 through 69 inclusive
    		•
  • Has a 75 ohm F Type connector for VHF/UHF antenna input
    		•
  • Has a 75 ohm F Type connector for TV output, user selectable for channel 3 or 4 RF output
    		•
  • Has RCA type connectors with Composite Video and Left and Right Audio Outputs
    		•
  • Must conform with NTIA specifications regarding, Decoding, sensativity,Phase Noise and Channel rejection
